I ran across an article on the Business Week website titled “Should You Manage Your Marriage Like a Business?” which was written by Louis Upkins Jr. and dated December 29, 2009.
He points to the usual dire statistics regarding marriage failure, proposes five business strategies of the sort that you would be likely to find in a textbook for a university business class and then fleshes out how each might be adapted to the marital arena.

I recently ran across a rather refreshing commentary on The Daily Beast website which was titled “I Just Can’t Hate John Edwards” and which was written by Eric Alterman.
Among other things, what made this one refreshing was that it was delightfully missing the self-righteous tone that self-appointed mating behavior critics have made de rigueur in any discussion of male infidelity the last quite a few years. Finally … a voice of sanity!

Every now and then when I get bored, I’ll browse through the Wikipedia website and then click on “Random Article” to see what pops up.
Most of the time, something arcane will load (such as a write-up on “Activity-Centered Ergonomics” or on the history of some random Canadian radio station) and I’ll just click it again.

I ran across an article in the Philadelphia Daily News titled “Spitzer’s call girl makes a point” which was written by Jenice Armstrong, a Daily News Columnist, and dated September 9, 2009.
She started by mentioning some comments made by Ashley Dupré (who had been the high-priced escort whose assignations with Elliot Spitzer had gotten him bounced out of politics — and into ignominy — when these became public).

I recently ran across an article on the Psychology Today blog that was titled “Why modern feminism is illogical, unnecessary, and evil” (and subtitled “Feminism is the radical notion that women are men”), written by Satoshi Kanazawa and datelined August 2, 2009.
Interestingly enough (given the inroads political correctness has made in recent decades into scientific research), he’s right on the mark. Let’s look at his key observations.

I recently ran across an article in the Washington Post archives titled “Numbers Drop for the Married With Children” (and subtitled “Institution Becoming the Choice of the Educated, Affluent”), written by Blaine Harden, a Washington Post Staff Writer, and datelined Portland, Oregon on March 4, 2007.
As Mr. Harden explains:
“… married couples with children now occupy fewer than one in every four households, a share that has been slashed in half since 1960 and is the lowest ever recorded by the census. Social scientists say it is also becoming the self-selected province of the college-educated and the affluent. The working class and the poor, meanwhile, increasingly steer away from marriage …”
The article continues, revealing that:
